What is Hypnosis?
Hypnosis helps change so many things. Hypnosis is an altered state of consciousness that can be practised alone. However if you don’t know how to do it, then a Hypnotherapist can teach you.
Much of what we do can be controlled consciously. But a large proportion of our decision making and behaviour is controlled by our unconscious or subconscious mind. ( They say as much as 95%).
This explains why it’s difficult to change things on a conscious level. Hypnosis helps change thinking which in turn leads to an associated change in behaviour.
Think for a moment, of all those behaviours that you might want to change in some way.
Can you change your heart rate, or your temperature, or stop sweating or blushing consciously? Can you stop overeating, binge drinking, or switch off that fear just using conscious thinking?
Some people can. These behaviours happen unconsciously, and hypnosis is an effective way to rewrite such unconscious responses.
Hypnosis helps change
I work as a Hypnotherapist using NLP New Code to change behaviour for a wide variety of issues.
Hypnosis is incredibly powerful and some operations are carried out nowadays using hypnotherapy instead of general anesthetic.
Hypnosis helps change the way we think, feel and the way we respond to pain. Modern day neuroscience is a the beginning of a new frontier of explaining this phenomena.
I’ve broken down for you, a few of the more commonly requested issues that I work with.
Stopping smoking, relief from Insomnia, Addictions and Infertility are examples of some problems that can respond really well to hypnotherapy.
You can flick through these in a bit more detail by visiting the relevant pages on my website.
If there is anything that isn’t listed, but you want to find out whether hypnosis and my approach can help, then do get in touch with me.
I will try my best to help, no matter how obscure or challenging the issue is. All my work follows strict confidentiality guidelines.
Now for those of you who have doubts about hypnosis. That’s completely natural to be skeptical. But if all hypnosis was doing was working in the same way as a placebo, then in my book that’s pretty impressive. However I believe it’s capable of so much more.
